Michael LaPorta is a Partner and serves as Exusia’s Chief Data Strategist where he is Head of Digital & Data Strategy, leading the organization’s advisory arm in its efforts to partner with C-level sponsors, understand key business challenges, identify ROI-driven opportunities, and align under a well-defined target state architecture & roadmap. As a Partner, he also owns primary oversight of the company’s Business Analysis and Managed Service offerings, ensuring high-quality, consistent delivery across Exusia’s portfolio of strategic client accounts.
Having spent the entirety of his seventeen-year career as a consultant to top organizations within the Healthcare & Financial Services domains, Michael brings with him a diverse background in data strategy, engineering & analytics across all phases of the SDLC. This includes early work as a technical lead for data warehouse and business intelligence programs with Knightsbridge Solutions and Hewlett-Packard, where he developed critical hands-on expertise across an array of big data & data integration technologies. From there he went on to serve as a lead architect with Citigroup Capital Markets, successfully delivering enterprise-wide pricing & reference master data platforms, while establishing the foundation for the group’s 24×7 production ops service offering.
Over the past eight years with Exusia, Michael has successfully led enterprise data programs associated to digital transformation, data monetization, modernization and regulatory compliance, while expanding the company’s service offerings to include Digital & Data Strategy, Cloud Hosting/Migration and DevOps Automation. Aside from his core delivery responsibilities, Michael actively contributes to company policy shaping, training curriculum and hiring/recruiting efforts across Exusia, while serving as a dedicated mentor to fellow Exusians.
Michael graduated from Cornell University in 2005, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering (ORIE). He currently lives with his wife Megan, and three children Evan, Nolan and Rowan in Hoboken, NJ, where they are active members of the Hoboken Grace Community Church. For the past eight years, Michael has been the founder/host of an annual sports tournament with a focus on raising money to support local charities.
