Exusia, a cutting-edge digital transformation consultancy, seeks Cognos Analytics Tech Lead / Admin to join our global delivery team's Industry Analytics practice in US.


What’s the Role?


The candidate must be able to successfully communicate with internal teams as well as client personnel in order to deliver industry-leading solutions, detailed functional designs and complex environments throughout the entire lifecycle of the project. Demonstrated hands on experience with Cognos Analytics and Tableau and should have delivered at least 2 end to end projects on Cognos Analytics V 11.1.7 or above


Criteria for the Role!



Responsibilities:

  • Provide consulting services to evaluate requirements and recommend right data presentation /visualization techniques
  • Perform BI tool upgrades and Migration to keep the platforms up to date
  • Sound knowledge of end to end BI/DW project execution in an agile methodology and should be able to take ownership of the low level design, guide and mentor developers in development activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and should have the ability to work stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaborate with admin and application teams to support platform modernization effort
  • Should be able to collaborate and coordinate with Business Analysts and other application teams in a distributed and multi-vendor teams

Requirements

Mandatory Skills:

  • BE /BS or Equivalent with 8+ Years of overall experience in a BI Tech Lead / Admin role.
  • Should have an understanding of the overall BI architecture and individual components of Cognos Analytics 11.1.7 and Tableau Server
  • Should have experience in managing Tableau on prem server setup
  • Hands on experience in managing admin tasks for a large Cognos Analytics platform
  • Experience in upgrades / migration of Cognos reporting platform
  • Data validation and remediation of issues arising from the platform upgrade
  • Hands on experience in relational as well as dimensional modeling
  • Reporting against different data sources like Data marts / Data lakes and Big data platforms
  • Experience in leveraging SQL for reporting and data validation purposes.
  • Designing OLAP Cubes / Cognos Models/Packages
  • Define & Implement robust Row Level & Column Level security
  • Designing and developing multi-dimensional reports, Dashboards & Visualizations
  • Set up Report scheduling and distribution using out of box functionality or custom automation solution
  • Setting up and integrating security model with AD or other directory services

 

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to other reporting tools like SAP Business Objects, Power BI , MicroStrategy
  • Exposure to Cognos/Tableau platform administration, optimizing and finetuning for performance
  • Working knowledge of Netezza
  • Exposure to Health care domain
