Rômulo Linhares is a Senior Director, Practice Lead and Head of Latin American Business Exusia Brazil Solutions and Software Limited. As a Senior Director and the Head of Latin America, Rom is responsible for the firm’s strategy, client sales and delivery in Latin America where Exusia is head quartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  As a Practice Lead, Rômulo is a founder of Exusia’s Global IBM Business Intelligence and Vertica technology practices and is a core member of the data management solutions team, where he is responsible for end-to-end solution architecture, delivery oversight and quality assurance across client verticals. With over twenty-five years of experience as a senior technical architect, Rom offers competencies across all functional components of data management, including real time data integration, data warehousing and systems design methodologies, proper solution architecture and design, data quality, project management, and infrastructure planning and development.   Rom also brings his deep understanding of several industries to Exusia including Health and Life Sciences, Manufacturing and Distribution, Financial Services and Insurance.

Prior to joining Exusia, Rom worked for Hewlett-Packard Enterprise Services as a Practice Principal for the Analytics and Data Management group for Latin America and Brazil, as such, during his tenure as Practice Principal, Rom was responsible for strategy and scale, leading the Analytics and Data Management practice group through over 400% growth in Brazil alone. Prior to that, Rom worked for Hewlett-Packard Software, Knightsbridge Solutions (acquired by HP), IBM Global Services, BearingPoint, as well as Ascential Software as a Senior Technical Consultant and Solution Architect and at other companies as a Software Engineer and Application Architect.

Rom attended the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (Brazilian Army Military Academy) in Resende, Brazil and holds a degree in Military Sciences.

Rom has deep interest in agriculture, particularly Precision Agriculture and is involved in research related to visual, multispectral and hyperspectral analysis of crop fields using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and coming up with innovative analytics solutions to improve crop yield in underdeveloped regions.
