Fundamental Competency: Requires subject matter expertise in the business domain that they specialize in including business processes and the critical data elements that enable them.   Additionally, this role requires expert knowledge of the entire data management landscape and deep understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle and the associated challenges involved at each stage of a global implementation, including interacting with multiple related stakeholders, teams and internal resources.

Position Overview: The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading one or more multi-region teams within the Pharmacy Benefits Management (PBM) Practice to gather client functional requirements, develop superior data strategies, design enterprise data applications and ensure the quality of delivery for Exusia’s clients, acting as the single point of contact between the client and the rest of the team in order to deliver industry-leading solutions that are comprised of complex application components to deliver return on investment for Exusia’s clients.  Excellent communication skills and experience working closely and efficiently across geographies with multiple teams are essential.


Analyze and document the current state of pharmacy benefits management systems. Use deep knowledge of claims, patients, prior authorizations, home delivery, eligibility, rebates, pharmacies, providers, payers, adjudication platforms and their related to data and IT requirements.  Use healthcare or pharmacy benefits data experience in building referential and transactional data applications.

Interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Interact with business analysts and prospective application managers in order to gather requirements and guide production rollouts while designing highly optimized batch & real-time applications and ensuring the overall success of their programs.  Proactively communicate and collaborate with front office application clients to gather business and functional requirements and deliver artifacts such as FRD, BRD, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.   Act as liaison to clients on highly technical and complex requests and serves as a technical advisor to other junior team members. Provide input, support and review estimates.

Use Oracle or Netezza, SQL, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Tableau tools. Apply project management practices across all phases of software development life cycle (SDLC). Analyze financial data, create mapping documents, and technical specifications to facilitate development, conduct QA, UAT, and coordinate production rollouts.

Ensure development adheres to performance optimization, interoperability standards and requirements, and compliance wth client IT governance policies.  Prepare technical design document, use cases, test cases and user manuals for various projects and perform bug fixing, code reviews, and unit, functional & integration testing.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ related experience as an analyst, programmer, consultant or related
  • Must have experience in each of the following: 1) 5 years' experience in healthcare or pharmacy benefits data building referential and transactional data applications; 2) Oracle or Netezza; 3) SQL.
  • Must be willing to travel or willing to temporarily relocate to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. as required.
