Fundamental Competency: Apply knowledge of ETL best practices while leading the design and development of one or more key tracks across the data strategy and implementation process. Design, code, unit test and deploy implementation components. Coordinate with off-shore resources to do design sessions, code reviews, and quality checks. Mentor and perform knowledge transfer to team members. Use ETL tools such as Ab Initio, Informatica, TalenD or Datastage. Apply knowledge of a variety of computer based tools, methodologies and best practices, including Unix Scripts, Autosys Jils, Cobol, and JCL. Also use one or more data appliances such as Oracle, Sybase, Teradata, Netezza, DB2, Greenplum or MongoDB. Travel or temporarily relocate to various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S. as required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, technology or related plus 5 years of experience as an analyst, programmer, consultant or related

Position Overview: The Senior ETL Developer will be responsible for implementing complex data management strategies, architectures and applications for Exusia’s clients while working alongside a diverse and talented off-site project team ensuring a smooth process, acting as contact between Exusia’s consultants and the client’s employees that can be spread across offices and regions. The candidate must be able to successfully communicate with internal teams as well as client personnel in order to deliver industry-leading solutions, detailed functional designs and complex application implementation components throughout the entire lifecycle of the project.

Requirements:

  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, technology or a closely related engineering field plus relevant experience of 5 years as an analyst, programmer, consultant or related.
  • Must have in depth experience with each of the following:
    • ETL tool methodology and best practices;
    • One or more ETL tools (such as Ab Initio, Informatica, TalenD or Datastage);
    • One or more data appliances (such as Oracle, Sybase, Teradata, Netezza, DB2, Greenplum or MongoDB);
    • Unix; and
    • SQL
